Our story began at Washington and Lee in the fall of 2016. We first crossed paths in a class we had together – a class we both disliked. One day, class was scheduled to be held outside, and Mary Hampton showed up late. The only open seat was next to Viktor, who would never be late, but always sat in the back of the class as far away from the professor as possible. We hit it off! Viktor was smitten by the charming and funny Mary Hampton (and Mary Hampton was impressed that Viktor was retaining anything from this class) and we found it far more entertaining to talk to each other than listening to the professor. Viktor worked up the courage to ask Mary Hampton to be his date for an upcoming function—and she said yes! Since then, we have never stopped laughing, loving our time together, and being almost late to everything, first at Washington and Lee, then between NYC, Beaufort, and D.C., and now together in D.C. In April, Viktor proposed to Mary Hampton in Charleston—and she said yes again! We can’t wait to share our special day with all of you in Beaufort.
